Scotch enthusiasts, mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 6th and Thursday August 7th. Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador, David Allardice will be visiting the Queen City bestowing some knowledge upon us. Check out the events below, we’d love to see you there.
Wednesday August 6th: Heist Brewery 6:30PM Here’s an opportunity to try the Glenfiddich 12yr, 15yr and 18yr. Word has it that Stefan will be mixing up a cool scotch cocktail as well. David will be giving a brief Whisky seminar and there will be small snacks provided. Event has very limited spots, as in…just a few. If you’d like to attend, please RSVP with Stefan at Heist, no later than Tuesday August 5th.
Thursday August 7th, Soul Gastrolounge: 10PM Whisky fanatics will have a chance to mingle with David and chat him up about all things scotch. This event is less formal and will feature some crazy awesome scotch cocktails by Andy Maurer. No RSVP required, we hope to see you there!!!
Thursday, July 24th is National Tequila Day. We’re celebrating the best way we know how, by drinking lots of tequila. Mosey your way to Soul Gastrolounge and have a Tequila Mockingbird cocktail made with Casamigos Tequila or if you’re over by the music factory, stop into Texicali for Espolon and 1800 giveaways!!!

Sorry, I haven’t posted anything recently guys, I’ve been getting my learn on down in New Orleans for Tales of the Cocktail. I figured a new cocktail spotlight would be a perfect post back.
The uber talented Bob Peters has given Sailor Jerry a spicy twist in his newest concoction. Recipe is below, though you’d have to go to Pisces to try the real thing.
Sailor Jerry Rum
Triple pepper simple syrup (red chilli, Szechuan pepper corn, guajillo peppers)
